So, it has been a while... too much going on to share it all, does anyone even read this thing anyway? Probably not. Oh well, first things first... a Megan update.
Megan is getting to be so smart... she can sing her ABC's now, she can sing along to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, she can count to 5, she does all the motions to any Bible School song, and tries to sing along! She really does love music - maybe she will take after her Grammy in that aspect?!?! She is getting so big, in fact we just took her this week for her first haircut! It was long overdue, and she looks like such a big girl now, with her little "bob"! Megan sleeps very good, and goes to bed without a wimper, that is a blessing in itself! Our bedtime routine consists of setting the mood with some music and dimming the lights. Then we will read her a story, usually "Bedtime for Bunny", Daddy then says a prayer, and she never misses a beat, she says "Amen", as soon as he does, sometimes even before, haha, and then she will give me a kiss and her daddy a kiss, and we place her in her bed, she grabs her blanket and rolls over and closes those big blue eyes, and that's it! She is too cute for words! Speaking of words, she can say so much now... just about anything you tell her to say! Some of the cutest ones, are "Uh-Oh Spaghetti O's", "Awww, Nuts!", and when you change her diaper, she will either say, "Whew, Doggies", or "P-U!". Other than those things, she says lots of food names, she can say anyone's name that you ask her, and point them out...she can spot a school bus from a mile away, and yells out "SKOO BUS!", and she has been putting more words together now! Like, "I baby", "Grandpa's House!", and "Me Do It". She learns a new word every day it seems. Well, that is our world right now, and it is everything we thought it would be and more! She is such a blessing to have around each and every day, and it is such a great responsibility for us to teach her and help her learn new stuff everyday! I heart her... can you tell?
Anyways, in other news, so far it has been a busy few months! I turned 30 in September... Ugh! I know I am still a young pup, and all those things, but 30 is such a huge number... kinda depressing. At least, I have my wonderful hubby (of 7 years now), and beautiful (almost) 2 year old to cheer me up!
It is the first day of fall today, and we have big plans for this season! We're going to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in Cincy this weekend, and planning trips to the pumpkin patch, zoo, and going to Gatlinburg with the Moore's! Can't forget about Trick or Treat coming up - it will be our first year for that as well! Matt and I have both had weekend trips of our own recently, so we are definitely ready for some family time!
In other news, Papaw Preacher is in the hospital, and looks like he may lose part of his foot. Our prayers this week are that the Lord would heal the parts of the foot that can be saved, and that he may not have to lose part of his leg. The Lord's will is going to be done regardless though, so we are thankful that he is resting in that promise.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Please pray that the Lord would give him peace during this time, regardless of the outcome!
Here is a pic of Megan and Papaw Preacher at church! Megan is taking a ride on his walker!
I can't decide who loves it most? Megan or Papaw?
With Love,
Cathleen
